Yes. Meridian is built on Squarespace 7.1, so you need your own Squarespace plan to publish your site. That subscription is paid to Squarespace and is not included in the template price.
Yes — all of it. Text, images, colours, fonts and the order of sections are edited in Squarespace’s normal editor. Nothing is locked and no code is required.
No. The hard part — layout, spacing, type and hierarchy — is already decided. Your job is to swap the demo services and copy for your own practice areas.
